Coaching Guidelines

Last Updated: September 14, 2026

Working together is an opportunity to create meaningful change, deepen your awareness, explore what matters to you and take greater responsibility for what you choose to create in your life.

These Coaching Guidelines are designed to establish clear expectations and support an open, respectful and productive relationship between you and 12873711 Canada Inc., operating as Ask Jen Jones (“Ask Jen Jones,” “I,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Depending on the service or program you choose, our work together may include coaching, transformational work, personal development, intuitive or spiritual guidance, Reiki or other energy-based practices.

Please read these Guidelines carefully before beginning our work together.

1. Working Agreement

I am honoured to have the opportunity to work with you.

Our work is a collaborative relationship. My role is to support, challenge, encourage and provide perspective as you explore what you want to create, change, understand or experience in your life.

A productive relationship requires openness, honesty, personal responsibility and a willingness to participate in the process.

I will bring my experience, training, perspective and full attention to our work. I ask that you bring your willingness to be present, communicate honestly and take responsibility for your choices and actions.

Our work is intended to support your personal sovereignty and discernment, not replace them.

2. The Role of the Coach and Client

The relationship between us is collaborative.

As your coach and practitioner, I may listen, reflect, ask questions, challenge assumptions, identify patterns, provide perspective, share observations, offer resources, make suggestions and invite you to consider different possibilities.

Depending upon the service you have chosen, I may also incorporate transformational, intuitive, spiritual, energetic or Reiki-based approaches into our work.

I may provide insights or opinions based upon my professional training, experience and background. You are always responsible for deciding whether those insights are appropriate for you and what, if anything, you choose to do with them.

Our work is not based upon my agenda for your life.

You remain responsible for your decisions, actions, well-being, goals and results.

I encourage you to pay attention to what has meaning for you, tell the truth about your experience and communicate when something is or is not working for you.

You may accept, decline or modify a request or suggestion I make.

I will respect that choice.

3. Professional Background

Jen Jones is a Certified Transformational Coach, ICF-certified coach, CCA-certified coach, Reiki Master and registered member of the International Reiki Association.

Her professional background and experience may also include areas such as personal transformation, business, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, communication, leadership, training, speaking, spirituality, energy work and personal development.

Experience or insight in these areas does not mean that Ask Jen Jones is acting as your lawyer, physician, psychotherapist, accountant, financial adviser or other regulated professional.

Where an issue requires specialized professional advice, you are responsible for consulting an appropriately qualified professional.

4. Coaching, Transformational & Healing Work

Ask Jen Jones offers different types of services, and not every service uses the same approach.

Depending upon the service, program and your individual needs, our work may involve coaching, transformational practices, personal development, Reiki, energetic practices, intuitive or spiritual exploration, reflection, questioning, education, exercises or other approaches within the scope of the service being provided.

Coaching and transformational work can explore many areas of life, including relationships, boundaries, personal development, work, business, finances, goals, beliefs, patterns, spirituality, well-being and life transitions.

Reiki and other energetic or spiritual practices are complementary practices. They are not medical or mental-health diagnosis or treatment.

Our work together is not a substitute for medical care, psychotherapy, counselling, psychiatric care, substance-use treatment, legal advice, financial advice or other services that require an appropriately qualified or regulated professional.

You are responsible for obtaining professional assistance when you need it.

5. Nature of the Relationship

You enter this relationship with the understanding that you are responsible for creating your own decisions and results.

I may provide specific observations, perspectives, recommendations, strategies, exercises or suggestions when appropriate.

Ultimately, however, you determine what is right for you.

Coaching is not psychotherapy or psychological counselling, and our relationship should not be interpreted as such.

If you are experiencing circumstances that require mental-health, medical or other professional treatment, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate support.

If you are currently receiving care from another professional and are uncertain whether coaching, Reiki or another service is appropriate alongside that care, you should discuss that question with the appropriate professional.

6. Confidentiality

We take confidentiality very seriously.

What you share within your private work with Ask Jen Jones is treated as confidential, subject to the limited exceptions described below.

Clients may share personal experiences, goals, challenges, business matters, relationships, financial concerns, spiritual experiences or other sensitive information during the course of our work. We recognize the importance of treating that information with care and discretion.

Ask Jen Jones will not intentionally disclose your private information to third parties except where:

  • You have provided permission;
  • Disclosure is reasonably necessary to provide or administer the service you requested;
  • Information is shared with a professional adviser, contractor or service provider who is appropriately required to handle the information confidentially;
  • Disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law;
  • There is a legal obligation, court order or other lawful requirement to disclose information; or
  • Another exception has been clearly disclosed to you and is permitted by applicable law.

The existence of a private client relationship will not ordinarily be publicly disclosed without your permission.

You are, of course, free to discuss your own experience of working with Ask Jen Jones.

Please understand that a coaching relationship does not necessarily have the same legally recognized privilege that may apply to certain relationships with regulated health or legal professionals.

Our handling of personal information is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

7. Group Programs, Workshops and Confidentiality

Group programs, workshops, retreats and other shared experiences involve additional confidentiality considerations.

Participants may hear personal experiences, ideas or information shared by other participants. You are expected to respect the privacy of others and not disclose another participant’s personal story or confidential information outside the group without that person’s permission.

Ask Jen Jones will take reasonable steps to establish and communicate confidentiality expectations within group environments.

However, because other participants are independent individuals, Ask Jen Jones cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality.

Please use your own judgment when deciding what personal information you choose to share in a group environment.

8. Communication

Open communication is an important part of our work together.

You are encouraged to share your experiences, insights, wins, disappointments, questions and concerns.

If something about our work is particularly helpful, tell me.

If something does not feel useful or appropriate, tell me that too.

If I notice something in what you are saying, how you are responding or a pattern that appears relevant to our work, I may bring it to your attention and invite you to explore it.

Sometimes seemingly small observations create meaningful opportunities for awareness and change.

Our ability to communicate honestly with each other helps make the work more useful.

9. Client Participation & Ground Rules

To receive the greatest value from our work, you are expected to participate actively and take responsibility for your experience.

You agree to:

  • Arrive for scheduled sessions on time and ready to participate;
  • Take responsibility for your physical, mental and emotional well-being, choices and decisions;
  • Communicate honestly and respectfully;
  • Ask questions when you need clarification;
  • Tell me when something is or is not working for you;
  • Consider requests, exercises, perspectives and possibilities with an open mind while retaining the right to accept, modify or decline them;
  • Respect the privacy and boundaries of other participants in group environments;
  • Take responsibility for deciding how you apply anything explored during our work; and
  • Seek qualified professional assistance when a matter falls outside the scope of the services being provided.

You remain free to make your own decisions throughout our relationship.

10. What Is Coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative, client-centred process designed to support greater clarity, awareness, personal responsibility, meaningful action and development.

Our work may help you explore where you are, where you want to go, what may be influencing your current experience and what choices or actions are available to you.

Coaching may involve your personal life, professional life, relationships, boundaries, goals, business, beliefs, habits, patterns, spirituality or other areas that are meaningful to you.

The process is not about giving someone else authority over your life.

It is about creating a space in which you can see more clearly, challenge what may no longer serve you, explore possibilities and make conscious decisions about what comes next.

11. How Is Coaching Different From Therapy or Consulting?

Coaching, therapy and consulting can sometimes address overlapping subjects, but they serve different functions.

Coaching is not psychotherapy, counselling or mental-health treatment and does not diagnose or treat mental-health disorders.

Consulting generally involves engaging someone for their specialized expertise and recommendations.

My work may sometimes include education, professional insight, strategic suggestions or direct recommendations based upon my experience. This does not change the fundamental principle that you decide what is appropriate for you.

Where appropriate, I may tell you what I see, what I think, what I would consider or what options may be available.

You are responsible for exercising your own judgment.

12. Who Works With a Coach?

People seek coaching and transformational support for many different reasons.

You may be navigating change, seeking greater clarity, exploring boundaries, developing personally or professionally, creating something new, addressing patterns, deepening your relationship with yourself, growing a business, exploring your spirituality or simply recognizing that something in your life is ready to change.

You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning.

What matters most is your willingness to participate honestly in the process and take responsibility for the choices that are yours to make.

13. How I Work With Clients

As your coach, I may inquire, encourage, challenge, advise, reflect, make requests, identify patterns and listen for what may be underneath the words you are using.

I will support your goals while also remaining attentive to the person pursuing those goals.

Our working relationship is something we create together and may evolve through ongoing feedback and communication.

I am committed to the process, but you are ultimately responsible for the actions you take—or choose not to take—outside our sessions.

I Expect Your Best

I ask clients to participate fully in the work they have chosen.

“Your best” will not look the same every day. There may be times when you have greater capacity and times when you need to adjust.

If I believe you are avoiding something important, playing smaller than you need to or not honouring a commitment you made to yourself, I may bring that to your attention.

The purpose is not judgment. It is awareness, responsibility and growth.

I Make Specific Requests

At times I may make a direct request or invite you to take a particular action between sessions.

You may accept the request, modify it, propose an alternative or decline it.

Your ability to make a conscious choice is part of the work.

I Give Advice and Perspective

When appropriate, I may offer advice, perspective, ideas, strategies or suggestions.

If I do not know something, I will not pretend that I do.

You are encouraged to consider what I offer, take what is useful and apply your own judgment and discernment.

I Am Direct

Part of my role is to notice.

If I hear something in your words, tone or story—or notice a contradiction, pattern or possibility—I may ask you about it directly.

My intention is not to confront or control you. It is to invite you to look at something that may deserve your attention.

I Give Between-Session Work

Transformation does not happen only during a scheduled session.

Depending upon our work together, I may invite you to reflect, journal, practise something differently, have a conversation, complete an exercise, take an action, observe a pattern or make a commitment between sessions.

You retain the choice to accept, modify or decline these invitations.

The more actively you participate in your own process, the more opportunity there is to integrate what we explore together.

14. Orientation, Application & Beginning Our Work

Certain private services and programs may include an application, intake process, questionnaire, orientation or introductory conversation before the work begins.

This process helps us understand what you are seeking, establish expectations, identify relevant areas of focus and determine whether the particular service or program is an appropriate fit.

Application-based programs may also have specific eligibility, participation, enrollment and payment requirements.

Completing an application does not necessarily guarantee acceptance into a program.

Any program-specific requirements will be communicated as part of the applicable application or enrollment process.

15. Sessions & Preparation

The structure and frequency of sessions depend upon the service, package or program you purchase.

Some work may involve recurring sessions, while other services may involve a single session, a defined program, group sessions, workshops or another format.

Where preparation materials, intake questions, reflection exercises or session-preparation forms are provided, you are encouraged to complete them before your session.

Before a session, consider what is most important for you to explore, what has changed since we last met and where you would most value support or perspective.

Preparation does not need to be complicated. A few minutes of thoughtful reflection can make a significant difference to how you use our time together.

16. Scheduled Sessions

Scheduled sessions are a commitment of time for both the Client and Ask Jen Jones.

Clients are expected to arrive on time, prepared and ready to participate.

Cancellation, rescheduling, missed-session and no-show requirements are governed by our Refund, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy: and any additional terms specific to the service or program purchased.

17. How We Meet

Services may be provided through Zoom or another communication method identified for the particular service or program.

The applicable meeting method and access instructions will be provided when you book, enroll or receive your program information.

You are responsible for having reasonable access to the technology, internet connection and environment necessary to participate in an online session.

Whenever possible, participate from a private environment where you feel comfortable speaking openly and can give the session your attention.

18. Session Recordings

Sessions may be recorded as part of the service provided by Ask Jen Jones.

Private Sessions

Private sessions are recorded.

A client may request a copy of their own personal session recording where the recording is available.

Recordings are intended for the client’s personal use and reflection unless another use has been expressly agreed upon.

Group Sessions and Programs

Group sessions may also be recorded.

Because group sessions involve multiple participants, a recording may contain participant names, voices, images, comments, questions or personal contributions.

By participating in a recorded group session after being informed that recording is taking place, you acknowledge that your participation may form part of that recording, subject to the applicable consent and privacy requirements.

A recording of a group session does not automatically mean that a replay will be distributed.

Ask Jen Jones determines whether a group-session replay will be made available, to whom it will be made available and for how long.

Participants should not assume that a replay will be provided unless this is expressly included in the applicable program or offering.

Any use of recordings outside their original client or program purpose—including public, promotional, educational or testimonial use—will be subject to any additional permission or consent required for that use.

Group Session Replays and Sharing

When Ask Jen Jones provides a recording or replay of a group session, workshop, program or other offering, access is provided only to the paying or otherwise authorized participant(s) for whom the replay was intended.

Recordings and replays may contain confidential or personal information shared by Ask Jen Jones or other participants, including names, images, voices, questions, experiences, discussions and other contributions.

For this reason, you may not share, forward, distribute, copy, publish, upload, post, sell, reproduce, screen-record, provide login or access information to another person, or otherwise make a recording or replay available to anyone who was not authorized to receive it.

This restriction applies even if you believe the person with whom you wish to share the recording would benefit from the material.

Receiving access to a recording or replay does not transfer ownership of the recording or grant permission to redistribute it.

Where a replay contains contributions from other participants, you must also respect their privacy and confidentiality. You may not extract, publish or share another participant’s story, image, voice, comments or other personal contribution without that person’s express permission.

If you would like another person to access material from a paid offering, please contact Ask Jen Jones regarding the appropriate way for that person to obtain their own authorized access.

Unauthorized sharing of recordings, replays or access credentials may result in removal of access or participation and may constitute a violation of these Coaching Guidelines and our intellectual property and confidentiality requirements.

19. Between-Session Communication

Depending upon the service or program purchased, you may be given access to between-session communication through email, Telegram or another communication method identified for your offering.

The availability, purpose and reasonable boundaries of between-session support may vary by service or program.

Between-session communication is intended to support the work we are doing together. It does not create an expectation of immediate or unlimited access to Ask Jen Jones unless that level of access is expressly included in the service purchased.

Email, Telegram and other communication channels provided by Ask Jen Jones are not emergency or crisis-response services.

If you are experiencing an emergency or require urgent medical or mental-health assistance, contact the appropriate emergency or qualified professional services available where you are located.

20. Getting the Most From Our Work

The value of coaching and transformational work depends significantly upon your participation.

There is no requirement to perform perfectly. There is, however, an expectation that you remain willing to engage with the process.

Focus on What You Really Want

Give yourself permission to consider what you genuinely want—not simply what you think you should want.

Clarity may be present when we begin, or discovering that clarity may be part of the work itself.

We can explore the difference between where you are now and what you would like to experience, then consider what may need to change to move in that direction.

Get to Know Yourself Newly

Transformational work can reveal beliefs, patterns, strengths, needs, desires and aspects of yourself that you may not have previously recognized.

Your goals may evolve as your understanding of yourself evolves.

That is not necessarily a problem with the process. Sometimes greater awareness changes what you decide is important.

Increase Your Willingness

Growth often asks us to consider something differently.

I may invite you to experiment with new approaches, question assumptions, tell yourself the truth, establish different boundaries, raise your standards or take an action that stretches you beyond what is familiar.

You remain responsible for determining what is right for you.

The goal is not blind compliance. It is a willingness to explore.

Come Prepared

Consider what you want to use our time for before your session begins.

If a preparation form, reflection exercise or other resource has been provided, completing it may help us use our time more effectively.

Bring the subjects that matter.

You do not need to arrive with everything neatly organized.

Integrate the Work

Insight is valuable, but integration happens through what you do with that insight.

Between sessions, you may choose to reflect, practise, observe, write, communicate differently, establish a boundary, complete an action or experiment with a new way of responding.

The purpose of between-session work is not to create busywork.

It is to help bring what we explore into your actual life.

21. Potential Benefits of Coaching and Transformational Work

People engage in coaching and transformational work for many different reasons, and individual experiences and results vary.

Our work may support you in areas such as:

  • Developing greater clarity;
  • Recognizing patterns and possibilities;
  • Making more conscious decisions;
  • Strengthening personal boundaries;
  • Taking meaningful action;
  • Exploring goals and priorities;
  • Increasing self-awareness;
  • Navigating change;
  • Developing greater personal responsibility;
  • Exploring your relationship with energy, capacity and well-being;
  • Identifying circumstances, habits, relationships or patterns that may be affecting your energy;
  • Developing new perspectives;
  • Creating greater alignment between what matters to you and how you live; and
  • Deepening your trust in your own discernment.

No particular result is guaranteed.

The choices you make, actions you take, circumstances you encounter and many other factors influence your experience and results.

22. Personal Responsibility & Decision-Making

You are responsible for your own life and decisions.

Nothing said, suggested, explored or experienced during our work transfers responsibility for your choices to Ask Jen Jones.

You are encouraged to question, reflect, research, obtain other professional opinions when appropriate and make decisions based upon your own circumstances and judgment.

If something we discuss involves medical, psychological, legal, financial, tax or another regulated professional matter, obtain appropriate professional advice before making a decision where necessary.

Our work is intended to strengthen—not surrender—your ability to make conscious decisions for yourself.

23. Respect, Conduct & Ending the Working Relationship

A productive working relationship requires mutual respect.

Ask Jen Jones reserves the right to establish reasonable boundaries concerning communication, behaviour and participation.

Threatening, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, intentionally disruptive or seriously inappropriate behaviour toward Ask Jen Jones, team members or other participants may result in suspension or termination of participation.

A client or participant may also choose to discontinue participation.

Ending participation does not automatically create a right to a refund or cancel an outstanding payment obligation.

Applicable financial consequences are governed by the Refund, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy, Terms & Conditions and any program-specific enrollment terms.

24. Indemnification and Responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you accept responsibility for the decisions and actions you take in connection with information, suggestions, exercises, perspectives or experiences arising from your work with Ask Jen Jones.

You agree not to hold Ask Jen Jones responsible for consequences arising solely from decisions or actions that you independently choose to take based upon your interpretation or application of the work, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Guidelines is intended to exclude, restrict or waive liability, rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or waived.

25. Relationship to Other Ask Jen Jones Policies

These Coaching Guidelines should be read together with the applicable:

Where an individual service or program includes additional requirements, those requirements form part of the agreement for that offering.

26. Questions or Concerns

If you have questions about these Coaching Guidelines or something concerning our work together, please communicate with us.

Open communication is an important part of maintaining a productive working relationship.

Closing

Our work together is a partnership.

I will bring my experience, attention, perspective, questions, intuition and willingness to challenge you when appropriate.

I ask you to bring your honesty, participation, curiosity and willingness to take responsibility for what is yours.

You do not have to know all the answers before we begin.

You do need to remain willing to explore.

I look forward to working with you.
